Tennyson's Passport Crawl Rewards the Shopper Who Makes the Most Stops

How much does one more entry in the Tennyson Street gift-basket drawing cost over Thanksgiving weekend? On the 2026 list, as little as a lunch order at Blackbelly Market or a draft beer at Berkeley Inn. Each purchase gets a stamp, and each stamp counts as one entry.

The 13th Annual Tennyson/Berkeley Small Business Passport Crawl runs Saturday, November 28, and Sunday, November 29, 2026. Jolly Goods organizes it, and the event listing on AllEvents shows a $40 candle deal right next to a free order of soft tacos. A $200 purchase at one boutique earns one stamp. Five small stops earn five.

How the passport works

The 2026 listing describes the mechanics plainly. You can pick up a Small Business Passport at any participating shop starting that morning. You collect a stamp with every purchase, and each stamp is one entry to win a gift basket made up of goods from all the participating businesses.

Some details aren't settled yet, and the listings disagree in a few places:

  • Hours. AllEvents shows 10 a.m. Saturday through 5 p.m. Sunday, Mountain time. The Eventbrite page lists the same two dates with hours of 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Address. AllEvents gives the location as the Tennyson Street Cultural Arts District at 4370 Tennyson St. Jolly Goods, the organizer, lists its own shop at 4020 Tennyson St.
  • Return rules. The 2026 listing doesn't give a deadline for turning in passports or a minimum number of stamps.

The rules have changed over the years. In 2017, a passport needed at least five stamps and had to be dropped off at Jolly Goods by a set date, according to Shop Tennyson's event page from that year. If you plan to hand in a full passport, ask about the 2026 deadline at your first stop.

What each stamp costs on the 2026 list

Most of the offers announced so far are a free add-on or a modest discount, so the cheapest stamps are the ones that count most toward the basket. Here is the 2026 lineup as posted, grouped by the kind of purchase that earns the stamp:

Kind of stop Business 2026 offer

Gifts and home Wooly Wax Free 4 oz seasonal candle or wick trimmer with a $50 purchase
Gifts and home JOY FILL Free pop-up sponge with $10 or more; Refill-Ready Tote with any purchase over $50

Six of the 22 stops are drink offers, and three more are food. Tacos Jalisco's free tacos run on Saturday only, so plan any route that includes it around November 28. The gift shops tie their freebies to spending thresholds that start at $10, and the JOY FILL tote takes a purchase over $50. The bars, the brewery and the coffee shop set none. Under these rules a shopper doesn't have to choose between eating and drinking along Tennyson and filling a passport, because every one of those purchases earns a stamp.

The listing says each stamp is one entry and doesn't scale entries to the size of the purchase. You could buy a whole gift list at Jolly Goods and still have one stamp, while a coffee at Alley Brews and a beer at Berkeley Inn give you two.

Thirteen years in, and the 2026 list is still growing

The crawl isn't new to the street. Westword covered it in 2014, describing shops along Tennyson from 38th to 46th avenues and a gift-basket drawing for the whole street, with passports returned to Jolly Goods.

Two years later, Shop Tennyson counted more than 20 participating businesses for the 2016 crawl. That year's version ran from November 26 to December 4, with passports due by 6 p.m. on the final day.

The 2025 crawl, held November 29 and 30, posted a roster of 36 business names on Do303.

The 2026 list stands at 22 names under the heading "2026 Participating Businesses: (more coming soon!)". Last year's final list ran 14 names longer than this year's list with weeks still to go, so expect more stops to be added before November 28. Checking the listing again Thanksgiving week will give you the fuller map.

Two big Tennyson names won't be part of it

The crawl is a street-wide plan, and two restaurants usually central to a Berkeley evening out won't be on it this year.

Parisi, at 4401 Tennyson St., has been closed with Parisi Sotto downstairs since a fire on May 12, 2026, as The Denver Post reported. Owner Christine Parisi's update on the restaurant's own site says both spaces are being remediated and rebuilt. She writes, "So we WILL be back!" Her FAQ gives the expected reopening as "Very early to say but late spring 2027 possibly." The site says the Parisi menu will stay "mostly" the same with mild price changes. Sotto will most likely become a separately accessed space for special events and private dining. Gift card holders are told to hold onto their cards, since the plastic cards don't expire.

A few blocks south, Wednesday Ellie is planned for 4140 W. 38th Ave., next door to American Elm. It's a companion restaurant from American Elm's owner and chef, focused on Mediterranean and other European food. The Denver Post's September 16 roundup reported that it has a new chef, Isaac Jones, but no firm opening date.

At the south end of the corridor, Wapo's Cantina lists a Denver Tennyson St. location at 3838 Tennyson St. on its website, with a daily schedule posted.

With one anchor rebuilding and another without an opening date, the merchant-organized weekend becomes the street's most concrete shared plan for the holidays. It also brings in Berkeley Inn, Hops & Pie, Alley Brews, and Tenn Street Coffee & Books, all on this year's list.

Dated evenings around the crawl

For plans on the other side of Thanksgiving, Regis University's public events calendar has a steady run of music and art on campus at the north edge of the neighborhood. The music events are presented by the Department of Fine and Performing Arts, and the calendar lists them as free and open to the public.

  1. Saturday, November 7, 2 to 4 p.m.: Artist Reception with Rochelle Johnson, O'Sullivan Art Gallery
  2. Monday, November 9, 7:30 p.m.: Student Voice Recital, Claver Recital Hall
  3. Monday, November 16, 7:30 p.m.: Chamber Ensembles, Claver Recital Hall
  4. Wednesday, November 18, 7:30 p.m.: Jazz Ensemble, Claver Recital Hall
  5. Friday, November 20, 7:30 p.m.: University Choirs, Claver Recital Hall
  6. Thursday, December 3, 7 p.m.: Artist Talk with Rochelle Johnson, O'Sullivan Art Gallery
  7. Thursday, December 3, 7:30 p.m.: Concert Band, Claver Recital Hall
  8. Friday, December 4, 7:30 p.m.: Guitar and Piano, Claver Recital Hall

The calendar marks the concerts as free. It doesn't say the same for the two gallery events with Rochelle Johnson, so check with the gallery before you go. The choir concert on November 20 is the last Regis date before Thanksgiving week, and the December 3 and 4 performances fall on the Thursday and Friday after the crawl.
